After years of using digital cameras, I recently decided to try film photography for the first time since I was a child. I have always loved the look of images shot on film, but have never been able satisfactorily to recreate that look digitally. I also wanted to slow my photography down, to be more deliberate and considered, and to allow the limitations of shooting film to force me to be more creative.
I managed to find a second-hand Leica M6 TTL in excellent condition, together with 35mm f/2 and 75mm f/2.4 lenses. Using predominantly black and white film, I intend to take my film photography in a very different direction to my digital work - to focusing on urban and street photography and photo stories.
